Evanthia Nanaki Profile
Eva Nanaki is a transport and energy research expert with extensive experience in integrated sustainability management, monitoring, evaluation and policy development projects. For the past 15 years she has been working in the energy sector together with stakeholders, universities and research institutes. She holds a Mechanical Engineering PhD from the University of Western Macedonia and an MSc in Environment & Sustainable Development from the National Technical University of Athens. She has also a diverse research background in energy and climate policy and innovation studies. Apart from the academic background, she has participated in numerous EU scientific committees (COST Actions) as well as an expert in international research projects in the field of transportation planning, smart cities and renewable energy systems.
She has collaborated with the Open University, the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), Center for Technology Research and Innovation (CETRI), other institutes and universities and with various SMEs in the fields of sustainable transportation, transportation energy systems optimization, smart cities and low carbon environment, road electrification, Alternative Vehicle Technologies, sustainable fuels, policy evaluation, climate change mitigation, exergy analysis, and life cycle analysis.
Dr Evanthia Nanaki offers a multidisciplinary service, which entails developing, implementing and monitoring sustainability related policy, legislation and plans, assessing impact at different scales, sustainability business strategy creation and reporting, public and stakeholder consultation. Based on a strong academic background and extensive experience in research programme development, management and evaluation, Eva is open to collaborate and contribute to new projects.
